What is the Motion Picture Production and Film Program?

Our Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Motion Picture Production was created in response to the increasing demand for trained professionals within the film entertainment industry.  The Motion Picture Production (MPP) program is an in-depth four-semester program designed to be completed in just 15 months. The program’s curriculum is taught by highly experienced faculty, including Program Chair Dennis Bishop, whose credentials include Dexter and NASCAR 3D: The IMAX Experience.  In the MPP program, not only will you learn the basics in film production through courses like: “The Creative Process,” “Screenwriting,” and “The History of American Popular Culture Through Film”, but also the basic core curriculum of sciences and humanities taught in colleges and universities nationwide. Our goal is to provide you with a well-rounded education that serves as a strong foundation for your career – and the rest of your life.
