Introduction to Acting

In this class, we will be exploring character work, contentless scenes, and building dialogue with improv. The class will include the basics of acting through working with partners, developing your personal technique for acting, and exploring different approaches and what works best for you as an actor. “Living Truthfully in an Imaginary Circumstance” with scenes and monologues and an introduction to working on the stage and in front of the camera. The class will include listening and reacting skills, character development, partner work, and basic script analysis. Whether you are new to acting or want to hone your skills, this class may be your beginning of a new career or continued path with a fresh perspective!
