Kim Dawson Model Search, TAKE 3! For its annual model search, the Kim Dawson Agency has partnered with KD Conservatory College of Film and Dramatic Arts and CW33 for the third year in a row. Each year, hundreds of prospective models enter to become finalists in the prominent model search. The contest has launched careers of world renowned super models, such as Erin Wasson, Ali Michael and Hannah Ferguson.
KD Conservatory got its start with an original partnership with Kim Dawson herself, when she and co-founder, Kathy Tyner shared a vision to provide models in the Dallas area with a workshop space to continue their training. The acting workshops evolved over time into KD Conservatory College of Film and Dramatic Arts, a fully accredited college offering Associate of Applied Arts Degrees in Acting Performance, Musical Theatre, and Motion Picture Production.
Submissions will open soon so keep an eye out for those details. After going through all submissions, the Kim Dawson Agency will narrow this group even further until they find their chosen finalists.
KD Conservatory graduates, Michael Goldermann and David Ryan will film the finalists as they receive complimentary makeovers from Dear Clark Salon. Goldermann and Ryan will then shoot their testimonials, in which finalists will be given the chance to talk about their ambitions. These will be posted on the CW33’s social media platforms. The winners will be chosen at the Kim Dawson Model Search Video Festival this Fall, and will each receive $5,000.00 scholarships to KD Conservatory and a contract with the Kim Dawson Agency.
“We admire the Kim Dawson Agency’s commitment to helping aspiring models achieve their dreams in this competitive industry,” Tyner said. “We’re grateful that, because of our talented film production students, we are able to continue to honor Kim Dawson’s lasting legacy.”
