Austin Costanzo

Austin Costanzo is a screenwriter and filmmaker with a focus on irreverent comedies and action thrillers. He has worked on short film projects in various positions, including Writer, Director, and Editor. Costanzo has directed three short films, and written and edited a number of others. He also has experience as a Boom Operator, 2nd Assistant Director, and Grip. For five years, Costanzo has enjoyed volunteering, as a cameraman on the media team at Fellowship of the Parks. He earned an Associate of Applied Arts degree in Motion Picture Production from the KD Conservatory where he most recently worked as the editor of the fourth-semester thesis film, entitled “In-Between ” and was also the director of the accompanying behind-the-scenes documentary. Throughout his life, Costanzo has been influenced by filmmakers such as Peter Jackson and Jay Roach who have helped him better understand the craft, and fueled his passion for telling stories with sincerity and substance. Costanzo feels strongly that it is important to always continue to advance his knowledge and skills in order to truly grow and evolve as an artist.
