The Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Acting Performance is a 15-month program designed to meet the needs of students who wish to become professional actors.
Upon completion of the 71.0 credit hour program, the graduate may expect to possess skills enabling him/her to compete in a professional environment in theatre, television and film.

Get to know the program, the commitment and what to expect before you speak with admissions.
You can start with limited experience. Our curriculum begins with the fundamentals of acting, voice, movement and camera work. All applicants complete an audition/interview as part of admissions.
This is a full-time program. Core classes run Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with additional hours on designated days. If you plan to work, allow time for classes, rehearsals and preparation.
You’ll need a high school diploma or GED and the required educational records. Admission also includes an audition/interview with the Department Chair or a designee. Admissions will explain what to prepare.

Yes. You’ll develop audition and on-camera skills and prepare for an Industry Showcase. KD also offers placement assistance. These resources help you pursue professional opportunities; employment is not guaranteed.
