We are proud to announce the success of  alumni, George Eads, best known for his role as forensic investigator Nick Stokes on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Eads is part of a 2017 People’s Choice Award nominated show, “MacGyver,” a 2016 remake of the show from the late 80s and early 90s.

“He’s certainly come a long way since we first met him,” said KD Founder and CEO Kathy Tyner. “Everyone at KD Conservatory is very proud of where his career has taken him, especially to this point of such great recognition.”

In MacGyver, nominated for Favorite New TV Drama, Eads plays co-star, Jack Dalton, a former CIA agent. Together, the characters fight to prevent catastrophic events from happening with the help of friends. KD commends Eads and Lucas Till, who plays MacGyver, on their fresh take of the original 90’s characters.

Texas-raised, Eads was born in Fort Worth, grew up in Belton, TX, and later graduated from Texas Tech University in 1990. Although he worked in sales for a short time, Eads quickly discovered that the business world wasn’t where he wanted to be. In 1994, he received his degree in acting performance from KD Conservatory, before packing up a borrowed pickup truck and moving to Los Angeles.

We are optimistic that with our growing, impressive staff and resources, the number of success stories will continue to grow, as will the number of awards.
